The hiking trail is divided into two routes, the eastern steps and the western steps. Some hikers choose to take the eastern route up and the western route down. On average, it will take about three hours to reach the summit of Huang Shan (Yellow Mountain) using the eastern route, and about six hours using the western route. Another alternative option to reach the summit is to utilise the cable car service which is available there. Many tourists reaching the top look forward to enjoy the beautiful views of sunrise or sunset at the top. Tunxi Old Street, Song Dynasty (960-1279 AD) built street this, 1,273 meters in length, was a major commodity distribution center in Anhui Province during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Rambling along Tunxi Old Street, tourists will feel as if they were in a street of the ancient times. The unique high horse-head walls separate the shops, which show the beauty of the Anhui-style architectural complex.
