Xian

 Xian, the capital of 13 ancient Chinese dynasties is endowed with a huge number of sites of historic and cultural interest.

The Big Wild Goose Pagoda, one of the symbols of Xian was built to house Buddhist Sutras in 652AD. Located in the middle of a beautiful temple complex, the pagoda is a must see for visitors to Xian. The city of Xian is very proud of their Ancient City Wall. It gives visitors a great chance to look down into the ancient city of Xian. Located in the exact center of ancient Xian are two of its most famous symbols, the Drum and Bell Towers.

China's Tang Dynasty (618-907) was the most prosperous and colorful of all of China's ancient Dynasties. It is famous for its arts and poems, dress and culture, and music and dancing. Xian is famous for its Terracotta Warriors and City Wall, but there is so much more to this fantastic ancient city. Being such an ancient city, Xian is filled with things for visitors to see and do. Summer in Xian (June to August) becomes both hot and humid. This time of year has 8 to 11 rainy days monthly - half of Xian's annual rainfall occurs during the summer.

Xian also experiences a fair amount of precipitation during autumn, (September to November). Xian has long been one of the strongest influences on the arts in China. Xian was the capital during the Tang Dynasty, which was considered the Golden Age of Chinese culture.
